I've been playing with the E120 recently and have noticed that I'm not being able to get it up to a decent cruising speed. During climbout at 1,000fpm climb I'm getting about 130kts indicated. What shoud I get, what is best cruise climb, etc? Also, how much does fueland payload afect this A/C?

Airspeed, altitude and ideas ... Not a good thing to run out of all three at the same time

Bill-

Sorry for the LONG delay...I've been out of the country plus the old lap top decided to stop working.  Thank you for your patience.

You probably have your answers by now so I will make these quick and short, hopefully they match yours.

What model EMB-120 are you using?  What altitude are you getting the performance numbers from?

After initial takeoff you should get your best climb rate/performance due to you being at a lower altitude, full power, etc.  After you set climb power your performance will drop off a little, however, should still get decent climb performance.  I can't speak to any particular speed or climb rate numbers because it all varies depending on weight, temperature, thrust setting, etc.  Furthermore, CG plays a huge role in this aircraft so be mindful of where the passengers sit!  I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to reply with any follow up questions you need.

Catch you on the flip side-
